What are the main events for today?
In the European session, we don't have much on the agenda other than the final CPI data for France and Spain. The final readings are generally ignored because they are old news (unless there are big revisions). We will also get the Eurozone Industrial Production data but it's not a market moving release.
In the American session, the only highlight is the University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment report. The consensus sees an improvement to 53.5 vs 52.2 prior. The focus will probably be on the inflation expectations figures though. Lower numbers should be positive for the market in light of the recent soft inflation data.
Watch out also for Iran's response against Israel's attacks throughout the day (or much more probable over the weekend). We've seen these kind of attacks already in the past years and the playbook was to buy safe havens and oil on rumors of a potential attack and on the actual attack, and then take profits after Iran's retaliation as de-escalation followed after.
